Job Description

For more than 40 years, GfK has been responsible for TV and video audience measurement in Germany. Program planners at television broadcasters, content producers, marketers, and media planners from brands and agencies rely on the daily viewing figures provided by AGF Videoforschung – our client at GfK Media Measurement Germany – to evaluate the success of television broadcasts and video content. 

We are currently looking for a Specialist to join our Media Measurement team (Panel Development). The position is located in our Global Service Center Media Measurement (GSC MM) in Sofia – a centralized operations Hub working closely with various Media teams and clients. 

In this role, you will contribute to one of the most important media research projects in Germany. Your work directly contributes to ensuring that reliable TV and video audience data is produced every day, forming the basis for decision-making in media, advertising, and content production. You will be a key point of contact for our panel households and actively contribute to ensuring high data and measurement quality. In addition to supporting panel participants, you will be involved in methodological tasks as well as special and quality-related projects. Documentation, data maintenance, and quality management are essential parts of your daily work.   

Key Activities 

  • Support German-speaking panel participants via phone, email, and web – both in responding to incoming inquiries and through proactive outreach to clarify issues  
  • Ensure high data and measurement quality by handling data, compliance, and quality-related topics  
  • Focus on sustainable resolution of cases and high level of data quality, not on the number of contacts /calls 
  • Act as a communication interface between panel households and internal and external stakeholders  
  • Independently conduct research to verify the usage behavior of panel participants  
  • Maintain and update household and panel data, as well as carefully tracking relevant cases  
  • Support the optimization of internal workflows and processes  
  • Contribute to special and quality-related projects by bringing in your own improvement ideas  

Required skills and knowledge  

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience (e.g. German helpdesk /representative, or similar) 
  • Fluent German language with a confident and professional communication style, especially in phone conversations 
  • Ability to understand and work with written internal documentation in German 
  • English language skills at B1/B2 level 
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word)  
  • Careful, structured and reliable, with strong focus on quality  
  • Technical affinity and interest in analytical and data-related tasks  

Collaboration and working conditions  

  • Employment based in Bulgaria (Sofia) with close functional alignment to the team in Germany 
  • Daily collaboration via meetings, phone, and Microsoft Teams  
  • Onboarding in Sofia as well as an approximately two-week onboarding stay in Nuremberg, Germany
