The Consumer Behavior & Insights team focuses on understanding how consumers think, choose, and interact with products and brands, transforming complex consumer data into clear insights that explain both what is happening in the market and why. Working at the intersection of quantitative analysis, behavioral science, and storytelling, the team partners closely with clients and internal stakeholders to answer complex business questions and support strategic decisions across areas such as consumer trends, customer experience, shopper strategy, and go-to-market execution, helping clients stay ahead of evolving consumer needs and market dynamics. 

As a Junior Research Analyst, you will support consumer research and insight development by working with large datasets to identify meaningful patterns in consumer behavior. In this entry-level role, you will collaborate closely with senior analysts and managers to transform data into clear, compelling insights and client-ready presentations, while developing strong analytical and storytelling skills. The position offers hands-on exposure to real business challenges, mentorship from experienced professionals, and opportunities for growth within NielsenIQ’s global organization. 

Responsibilities  

  • Analysis of consumer behavior data using NIQ research tools, dashboards, and structured datasets 
  • Assist in developing insights that explain consumer motivations, decision-making processes, and evolving needs 
  • Prepare clear charts, tables, and visualizations that translate data into actionable consumer insights 
  • Contribute to the development of insight-driven narratives that explain the “why” behind consumer behaviors and market dynamics 
  • Participate in end-to-end consumer insight projects, from data structuring and analysis to final storytelling and delivery 
  • Ensure data accuracy, analytical rigor, and clarity in all consumer insight outputs 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as analytics, commercial, and client-facing teams to address consumer-related business questions 
  • Support senior team members in responding to client inquiries and ad-hoc analyses focused on consumer behavior trends 
  • Continuously build knowledge in consumer research methodologies, behavioral insights, and market dynamics

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree holder in Marketing, Economics, or relevant disciplines  
  • Experience in marketing research, consumer intelligence, or related field. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply  
  • Advanced English or Spanish 
  • Strong analytical thinking  
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality results  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to clearly pull together a story that will resonate with the client  
  • Strong willingness to learn and continuously develop new skills, with curiosity to explore new methodologies, tools, and approaches in consumer research and insights
