In NIQ’s Brand & Media team we work with the brand, marketing, and insights teams of many companies to help guide their brands and ad campaigns.  We conduct custom brand tracking and ad hoc studies to monitor key metrics, marketing effectiveness, and overall brand health.  We leverage this data as fact-based consultants, creating presentations to answer our clients’ business questions and to help guide their brand strategy.

A Research Analyst will work within a team to uncover insights in the data and create engaging deliverables tailored to answer the client’s business questions.  To be successful you should have a passion for looking at data, enjoy insight generation, have a strong attention to detail, and be a vocal contributor to team success.

Job Description

As a Research Analyst, you will have the following key accountabilities:

  • Support the development of monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc surveys and deliverables that track key metrics, marketing effectiveness, and overall brand health.
  • Work within a team to prepare reports and presentations that communicate study findings in an engaging manner.  Integrate insights from NIQ research with outside sources to provide a holistic analysis that tells a story.
  • Analyze data using Data Tables and SPSS to identify deeper insights and underlying trends, along with opportunities for our clients to help grow their brands.
  • Provide excellent customer service that deepens existing client relationships.
  • Work with broader internal teams to identify project efficiencies and proactively suggest improvements to surveys and reports that will benefit our clients.
  • Assist in managing changes to current studies and contribute to the development of improved ways of working through project tasks.

Qualifications

Now that we have introduced you to the position, what skills, qualifications, and experience should you have?

  • 1-3 years of related work experience in market research, advertising, or marketing, ideally in a role responsible for analyzing data and writing reports.
  • Licenciado degree (equivalent of a BA/BS degree in the US) in Marketing, Market Research, or a related degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to create impactful graphical presentations of data in a variety of formats and to be able to direct analyses.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding and familiarity of formulas, chart creation, and common shortcuts.
  • Proficient in using SPSS or equivalent data software.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools, especially Microsoft Copilot.
  • Strong initiative for continued growth and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English, including for speaking, reading, and writing.
