Job Description

NielsenIQ (NIQ) is looking for a Contract Analyst to join the Contract Management team. This team supports our North America business and is part of an overall global Contracts team. This role will focus on North America clients but there is opportunity to expand scope in the future. This is a fast paced, high volume, high-performing team that work cross functionally within the NIQ organization (including working directly with Sales, Finance, Pricing, Legal) and leads the creation, modification, and finalization of sell side licensing agreements for our clients. This position is high visibility as it is critical to revenue recognition and works with associates at all levels of the business.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Draft, review, and release contracts and amendments that follow company guidelines
  • Draft accurate, concise and consistent contract terms
  • Draft non-standard provisions as needed.
  • Review, advise where needed on various miscellaneous agreements, and facilitate redline process
  • Devise logical approaches and suggestions to address complex contractual issues
  • Ensure the contract incorporates all authorized specifications and terms
  • Document and archive required backup materials, owner of final drafted documents
  • Support the Sales team during the contract strategy and negotiation process
  • Effectively manage and prioritize assigned workload, seek assistance when needed
  • Work collaboratively with other Contract Management team members
  • Work cross-functionally and collaborate with other functions such as Sales, Legal, Audit, IT, Billing, Finance, Security, etc. to ensure contract terms meet their requirements
  • Exercise judgment in handling exceptions to standard procedures
  • Enter mandatory data to the contract database and other trackers
  • Identify and recommend potential process and standard language improvement opportunities
  • Cross-train on the North American/POC tasks and backfill as required.
  • Special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience writing commercial contracts in a corporate environment required
    • 1-3 years related experience in procurement or sales support is a plus
  • Superior written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Superior organizational skills; detail oriented
  • Proven ability to work independently and handle tasks from start to finish
  • Accountable, results driven and open to new ideas and on-going learning
  • Comfortable working within a team and cross functionally with people at all levels of the company
  • Capable of independent decision making; flexible and collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and experience required
  • CLM and/or CRM (SalesForce, Microsoft Dynamics) experience is a plus
  • BA or BS in Business, Accounting, Communication or related field or Paralegal experience preferred
