Learning Content Design Consultant
- Full-time
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced highly skilled, creative, digitally‑savvy Learning Content Design Consultant to join our Client Training team. This role sits at the intersection of instructional design, content strategy, and basic digital learning production, and plays a critical role in shaping high‑quality, scalable learning experiences for both internal associates and external clients.
In this role, you will create and own complex learning content initiatives that translates NielsenIQ’s products, platforms, and ways of working into clear impactful, and measurable learning solutions for a global audience.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on content creation, while also influencing standards, and driving excellence across digital learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities – What you will do:
- Lead the design and development of high‑impact learning content using advanced instructional design principles and adult learning theory to drive knowledge transfer and skill application
- Own end‑to‑end content design workstreams for complex or high‑visibility learning initiatives, from needs analysis and design through development support and iteration
- Design and shape learning solutions across multiple formats, including microlearning, eLearning, virtual instructor‑led training (vILT), videos, job aids, learning guides, and blended learning journeys
- Create and review learner‑centric scripts, storyboards, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with learning objectives
- Translate complex, technical subject matter into clear, actionable, and scalable learning experiences that support real‑world application
- Partner closely with senior subject matter experts and stakeholders, acting as a thought partner to challenge, shape, and refine content direction while maintaining technical accuracy
- Provide content design guidance and quality oversight to other content creators or contributors, supporting consistency and best practices across learning assets
- Collaborate with digital learning producers, multimedia specialists, and platform partners to bring learning designs to life at scale
- Contribute to the evolution of NielsenIQ’s learning strategy, particularly the shift toward digital, blended, and self‑directed learning models
- Apply data, learner feedback, and stakeholder input to continuously improve learning content effectiveness and learner experience
- Set and uphold high quality standards for learning deliverables while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced, global environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Communications, Marketing, Education, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) designing and writing digital learning content for adult learners in a complex or global environment
- Strong expertise in transforming complex, technical information into engaging, learner‑focused learning solutions
- Demonstrated experience designing learning content across multiple modalities, including eLearning (e.g., Rise, EasyGenerator or similar tools), virtual/classroom training, videos, and job aids
- Excellent written communication skills, with a strong sense of structure, narrative flow, and learner empathy
- Ability to independently lead content design initiatives, make sound design decisions, and influence outcomes without direct authority
- Strong organizational and project‑management skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity, multiple stakeholders, and competing deadlines
- Comfort collaborating with cross‑functional, global stakeholders across regions and functions
- A continuous‑improvement mindset, with curiosity to evolve learning approaches, tools, and practices
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a strong plus)
