About the Role
As a Sales Consultant, you will be at the forefront of expanding our customer base and actively acquiring new business partners for NIQ. You analyze market potential, identify relevant target customers, build strong and sustainable relationships, and convince prospective clients of the value of NIQ’s portfolio. With your proactive mindset, you make a direct contribution to the sustainable growth of our business.
You understand the dynamic requirements and challenges of the FMCG market and are able to translate them into meaningful conversations with defined target customers. You act as a solution‑oriented sparring partner, professionally advising clients and supporting them in achieving long‑term success. If this sounds like you, we look forward to meeting you.
Your Responsibilities
- Proactive acquisition of new customers in close collaboration with the Sales Development team
- Continuous monitoring of the market and competitive landscape, deriving impulses for our sales strategy
- Active contribution to the creation of the Operational Plan, as well as the planning, steering, and control of cross‑account sales activities
- Building, maintaining, and developing long‑term relationships with key stakeholders on the client side
- Preparation and delivery of compelling pitches and leading coordinated negotiations through to contract closure
- Confident management of national and international sales and contract negotiations with profitable outcomes for NIQ and the client
- Full revenue and results responsibility for your area
Your Qualifications
- Several years of experience in sales, ideally in new client acquisition, and a strong passion for the FMCG market
- Solid understanding of the consumer goods industry, including market structures, key players, strategies, and relevant regulatory and contractual frameworks
- Ability to clearly identify customer needs and translate them into tangible sales opportunities
- Strong customer orientation combined with excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Completed university degree or a comparable qualification
- Enjoyment of teamwork and confidence in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- Confidence and assertiveness in sales and price negotiations
