We are looking for a Junior Insights Analyst, detail-oriented and with a strong curiosity for the FMCG, Retail, or Tech & Durables markets. You will stand out by identifying trends and patterns to provide actionable insights, working with data to understand market dynamics.

In this role, you will deliver data-driven support to NIQ internal teams to help achieve strategic business objectives. Your contributions will be key to the success of our international team in delivering impactful solutions to the most important FMCG companies across Latam.

Responsibilities

Project Execution:
You will assist in the execution of projects by extracting and compiling data, analyzing trends, and interpreting sales and consumer information. You will also create visualizations and build complete presentations.

Data Summarization:
You will summarize data using tables, charts, and diagrams, ensuring accuracy by reviewing deliverables for errors and inconsistencies.

Report Writing:
You will draft reports and presentations of varying complexity, incorporating detailed data interpretations to support country teams with international client needs.

Report Management:
You will configure and update regular reports, ensuring the timely delivery of relevant information.

Best Practices:
You will actively seek and share examples of best practices and opportunities for optimization and automation, implementing these approaches in your work when applicable.

Client Meeting Preparation:
You will support other on‑shore team members in preparing client meetings and presentations, ensuring that all materials are well-organized and impactful.

Qualifications

  • Advanced English level (B2 or C1) is a mandatory requirement.
  • From recent graduate up to 1 year of relevant experience in market research, data insights, data analysis, trade marketing, category management, or in FMCG, retail, or market research companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be located in Bogotá, Colombia (hybrid work model).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional functions, conditional formatting, chart creation and formatting), PowerPoint, and Google Sheets/Slides.

  • Passion for data analysis and client management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making: Demonstrates the ability to extract relevant information from datasets, builds strategic partnerships to improve information sources, performs proactive check-ins with clients for continuous updates, and uses exploratory questions to effectively clarify unclear requests.
  • Analytical skills: Involves answering complex questions clearly and concisely in easy-to-understand language, emphasizing the “why” through cohesive, client-centered storytelling, particularly evident in Category Overviews.
  • Process management: Involves understanding value-added activities for stakeholders, adapting to process optimization, delivering high-quality and timely services, providing accurate and fast responses, and effectively managing time and priorities.
  • Digital competency.
  • Knowledge of the retail and consumer goods industry: Acts as an expert in a particular client/category/industry. Follows relevant market trends and industry developments. Explores potential market opportunities for clients.
  • AI/tech driven.
