Job Description

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As part of the NIQ Customer Success & Insights team, you will play a critical role in connecting clients to the full value of NIQ’s data, expertise, and solutions. You will be responsible for executing research and analytics projects, delivering high‑quality insights, and supporting key FMCG clients to make data‑driven decisions. This role requires analytical thinking, strong project management, storytelling ability, and a passion for client partnership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Insights & Analysis

  • Analyze and interpret retail measurement data, consumer data, and other NIQ solutions to uncover meaningful insights.
  • Build tables, charts, dashboards, and visual summaries using Excel, PowerPoint, and NIQ platforms.
  • Draft and deliver client-ready presentations that tell a compelling story with clear conclusions and actionable recommendations.
  • Identify category trends, brand performance drivers, opportunities, and risks for clients.

Project Execution

  • Set up, refresh, and quality-check recurring and ad‑hoc analytical reports.
  • Review data for errors, inconsistencies, and outliers, ensuring highest accuracy.
  • Manage internal delivery partners to ensure timely and flawless execution.
  • Assist in the design of analyses that address client business questions.

Client Engagement & Relationship Support

  • Support day-to-day client engagement through calls, emails, and meetings.
  • Participate in client presentations alongside senior team members.
  • Understand client business priorities, brand strategy, and market dynamics to enhance value delivery.
  • Introduce relevant NIQ solutions, where appropriate, to address emerging client needs.

Customer Success

  • Contribute to driving NPS, client satisfaction, and renewal success.
  • Provide clear feedback on client requirements and suggest improvements to internal processes.
  • Support cross-market collaboration (e.g., regional hubs, global best practices) where needed.

Continuous Learning & Improvement

  • Stay updated on FMCG, retail, and consumer trends in Kenya and East Africa.
  • Leverage NIQ learning platforms to develop expertise in advanced analytics, NIQ products, and industry knowledge.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in market research, insights, analytics, or FMCG/retail data analysis (agency or client-side).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced) and PowerPoint (storytelling).
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and visualization skills; strong storytelling ability.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong client service mindset and business acumen.
  • Curious, resourceful, proactive, and comfortable in a digital-first environment.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
