Job Description
Responsibilities
- Write complex, maintainable, and high-quality code to develop scalable, flexible, and user-friendly applications using Python, FastAPI, LLMs/GenAI, and cloud architecture.
- Design and develop highly available, low-latency, cloud‑native applications following modern microservices and API-driven architectures.
- Build and integrate LLM-powered solutions, including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and agent-based workflows.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members and mentor junior engineers through design reviews, best practices, and code guidance.
- Integrate and consume RESTful APIs, messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or equivalent), and external services.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of analytic applications — including conceptualization, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Ensure application quality through unit testing, code coverage, and performance testing, and by following secure and scalable design principles.
- Implement observability and instrumentation using tools such as Graylog, Datadog, ELK, Splunk, or equivalent.
- Support CI/CD pipelines by working with Jenkins jobs for build, deployment, testing, and coverage reporting.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies, frameworks, and best practices to improve system performance and developer productivity.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of applicable software engineering experience in backend or cloud-native application development.
- Strong fundamentals and hands-on experience in Python, FastAPI, and object-oriented backend development.
- Solid understanding of LLM, GenAI, RAG, and advanced prompt engineering techniques.
- Foundational knowledge of LLM/Agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, and Microsoft Agent Framework.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and message queue integrations (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or equivalent).
- Good experience with databases, including strong SQL writing skills.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing, code coverage, and quality tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Sonar, or equivalent.
- Experience with instrumentation and monitoring tools (Graylog, Datadog, ELK, Splunk, or equivalent).
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins-based build, deploy, and test workflows.
- Exposure to Docker and cloud platforms; Microsoft Azure / Azure Foundry experience is a plus.
- Experience with fine-tuning LLM/SLM models is a plus.
- Strong conceptual understanding of converting prompts into accurate, high-quality generative outputs.
- Passion for learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across technology teams and business stakeholders.
