Job Description

To execute marketing research studies by compiling, analyzing, and interpreting marketing research data, writing client reports, and constructing presentations. Leverage best-in-class predictive and statistical tools to generate sales forecasts for new product launches, analyze and optimize marketing plans, and write reports summarizing recommendations in a client-friendly manner. Generate consultative deep-dive analysis summarizing BASES insights, client outcomes, and conclusion for client insights and marketing teams. Supports the Client Development team in driving revenue by delivering excellent project work that results in repeat business. 
 

Responsibilities 

  • Execute against innovation related projects (i.e. new product development) across a variety of clients, meeting agreed-upon milestones 
  • Accountable for high-quality client deliverables and sales forecasts 
  • Deliver work without data errors and inconsistencies 
  • Partner with various analytical teams to provide cohesive insights and recommendations to our clients 
  • Develop mastery of innovation testing solutions (BASES products and services) as well as the project process 
  • Develops mastery of proprietary tools and metrics within the first 6 months of the job 
  • Develops a strong understanding of successful innovation within the first 6 months of the job (NielsenIQ BASES Activation Profile, Factors for Success, Demand-Driven Innovation Theory, BASES Forecasting Models) and apply this understanding to client deliverables 
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of what makes good innovation and what drives in-market sales based on forecasting theory 
  • Analyzes study results to draft emails, reports, and presentations 
  • Participate in client discussions/presentations 
  • Support special projects and thought leadership initiatives around successful innovation 
  • Handles project-related client correspondence as needed 
  • Supports the development of client training 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Marketing or in the related field 
  • Open for fresh graduates with related Market Research and Insights/ Analytics university program
  • For Senior Analyst or at Manager scope: Minimum 2 of years of solid experience level in market research, consumer insights, analytics or related field in Japan
  • Good client service skills and able to communicate and write effectively in Japanese (required) and English. 
  • Passion for innovation/ new product development
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Tools 
  • Knowledge of statistics, research techniques, and experimental procedures 

Additional Information

Remote-hybrid based role, must be physically located within Japan and candidate must be a Country/Region Resident.
