• Responsible to assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements. 

• Responsible to identify, design and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes. 

• Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using Azure, Databricks and SQL technologies 

• Working with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues 

• Responsible for the transformation of conceptual algorithms from R&D into efficient production ready code. Must have a strong mathematical background in order to be able to document and maintain the code. 

• Responsible for integrating finished models into larger data processes using UNIX scripting languages such as ksh, Python, Spark, Scala, etc. 

• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience as a Software/Data engineer  

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in leading Design, Java, Spring boot and big data applications development, deployments & end to end delivery.  

• Highly proficient in using the spark framework (python and/or Scala) 

• Extensive knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, strategies, methodologies. 

• Experience of building data pipelines using Apache PySpark (preferably in Databricks), Scala, Python and Airflow. 

• Databricks & Azure Big Data Architecture Certification would be plus 

• Working knowledge on Azure cloud services such as Azure cloud PaaS services, Blob storage, Docker, Registry, Kubernetes, Key Vault, Platform Administration tasks, Azure CLI and Power Shell  

• Strong fundamentals in back-end object-oriented programming, including proficiency in RDBMS (Oracle and PostgreSQL)   

• Familiarity integrating Restful APIs and an understanding of microservices architecture  

• Experience with Service oriented design, Microservice Architecture, design patterns and solution architecture .

• Experience working with Database (SQL) skills to develop and optimize SQL queries, function and stored procedures.  

• Good Understanding on CI/CD Pipeline  

• Knowledge on Linux/Unix environment (basic commands, shell scripting, etc.)  

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in an enterprise Agile/SCRUM environment  

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a Global Team  

• Experience using Collaboration Technologies: Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence  

• Experience in using JIRA, Confluence, GitHub  

• Experience working with testing tools and Automation test needs  

• Produce and maintain documentation for released data sets, new programs, shared utilities, or static data. This must be done within department standards 

• Motivated, high-potential performer, with demonstrated ability to influence and lead.  

• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.  

• Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change.  

• Teachable and embracing best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement.  

• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface across cross-functional technology teams and the business   

• Sound SDLC skills, preferably with experience in an agile environment  

• Ensure quality deliverables to clients by following existing quality processes, manually calculating comparison data, developing statistical pass/fail testing, and visually inspecting data for reasonableness: the requirement is on-time with zero defects 

• B.E./B.Tech. with a major in Computer Science, BIS, CIS, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research or some other technical field. 

• Course work or experience in Numerical Analysis, Mathematics or Statistics 

• Databricks & Azure Big Data Architecture Certification would be plus 

• Experience modelling or manipulating large amounts of data is a plus 

• Experience with Demographic, Retail business is a plus
