Senior Frontend Engineer, Chennai

We are looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to join our R&D team. This is a highly technical position in an exciting new development area we will be introducing into our retail analytics business platform.

Responsibilities

• You will develop web solutions for industry-leading interactive retail analytics, with opportunities for leadership on some projects 
• Participate and begin to lead in defining backlog and requirements clarification for various technology projects 
• Help us to research and take advantage of new technology to improve and expand solutions 
• Leverage your previous experience to develop moderately to highly complex software solutions in support of business requirements and in accordance with predetermined software solution design standards 
• You are a confident participant in an agile environment on design, development, testing and implementation of web solution components and modules 
• Troubleshoot and correct complex software defects 
• Participate in peer code reviews 
• Integrate code into modern, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines 

• Handle configuration management and deployment tasks as needed 

• Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field 
• At least 6 years of experience as a Front-end developer
• Extensive experience developing web applications using React.
• Experience with TypeScript
• Familiarity integrating Restful APIs and an understanding of microservices architecture 
• Some experience with frontend design and solution architecture 
• Experience using visualization libraries such as Highcharts, D3.js, etc...
• Experience with CSS / Styled Components
• Significant Expertise in developing UI infrastructure (UI components)
• Experience with Storybook
• Knowledge of Kubernetes & Docker
• Knowledge of SQL / Databases
• Experience in Frontend testing (unit and components)
• Be highly detail oriented and have strong business & product understanding.
• Self-motivated and able to define, plan and implement goals, tasks, and projects.
