Lead Data Production - TV Audience Measurement

Job Description

The Lead Data Production is responsible for managing and optimizing data processing workflows for South Africa’s official TV audience measurement currency. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant data delivery through robust ETL processes, quality assurance, and automation initiatives. The position collaborates closely with Operations, Methodology, and Technology teams to maintain data integrity and support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1) Data Workflow Management: Oversee daily data processing pipelines for panel, RPD, and streaming data sources; ensure T+1; T+28 delivery.

2) Quality Assurance: Implement multi-layer QA checks, anomaly detection, and validation against BRC standards.

3) Automation & Optimization: Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce latency.

4) Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to POPIA and BRC guidelines; maintain documentation for audits and accreditation.

5) Collaboration: Work with Methodology teams to operationalize changes; support Operations in incident resolution and root cause analysis.

6) Vendor Coordination: Liaise with data suppliers and technology partners to ensure SLA compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

6+ years in data operations or ETL pipeline management; experience in audience measurement or media analytics preferred. Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and data orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory). Familiarity with South African TV ecosystem, client governance, and POPIA compliance. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and big data technologies.
