About Job:
Job Title: Engineer (MongoDB Support)
Location: Chennai- Hybrid
- Deep knowledge of MongoDB architecture, configuration, and operations.
- Experience in building on-prem replica set especially 3 node clusters and maintaining them.
- Experience in MongoDB Atlas Management.
- Experience in sharded clusters is an added advantage.
- Experience with community edition and enterprise edition MongoDB versions 6.x, 7.x & 8.x
- Database Performance Tuning: Experience with performance monitoring, query optimization, and index management.
- Backup and Recovery: Proficiency in implementing and managing backup and recovery strategies.
- Database Security: Knowledge of database security best practices, user management, and access control.
- Scripting: Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation and scripting tasks.
- Operating Systems: Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with database monitoring tools like Datadog, Logic Monitor or MongoDB Ops Manager.
- Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud-based MongoDB deployments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is often preferred.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of DB Support and platform support experience
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and designing for performance, scalability and availability
- Good to have knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL
- Hands-on with MongoDB migration/upgrade using different methodologies Mongodump, MongoRestore, initial sync, full resync etc.
- Experience with database backup and recovery
- Experience with troubleshooting problems relating to the MongoDB that may originate or exist
