SA&I (Strategic Analytics & Insights) Business Partner

Job Description

  As a member of the Strategic Analytics and Insights team in Romania, you will drive client conversations, take ownership of revenue generation, and independently sell solutions across our Brand & Media (B&M), Consumer Behaviour & Insights (CB&I) and Innovation practice areas.   

Your objectives will include achieving planned revenue profitably through developing business with existing clients while proactively searching for new clients and opportunities on the market. 

Core responsibilities include

Profitable revenue growth 

Successfully assess the needs of our clients and proactively offer solutions in order to achieve sales targets: 

  • Business development to achieve target objectives (financial and commercial).  
  • Input and execute against our sales and commercial activation plans to increase pipeline and conversion. 
  • Scope projects responsibly to meet sales targets.  Ensuring feasibility by partnering with the respective Solution expert, Customer Success, Project Management and Operations teams. 
  • Manage pipeline and provide weekly input for forecasting sales. 
  • Be compliant & responsive to financial discipline rules and to other reporting needs by using the appropriate NielsenIQ tools.  
  • Ensure internal processes are followed, including adherence to tracking customer and transactional information in CRM system and other sales and operational processes. 

Client development 

Maintain & develop commercial relationships with clients: 

  • Partner with local Account Development team to understand client needs and priorities (joint business plan). Develop SA&I strategic account plans in alignment with local and regional SA&I leaders. 
  • Continuously engage with key decision-makers (including senior stakeholders), influencing brand / consumer strategies to help clients achieve their objectives (identifying opportunities, running capability meetings, preparing and negotiating proposals). 
  • Develop brand / consumer research business with new Clients: identifying needs, building client relations and awareness of research solutions, preparing and negotiating proposals. 
  • Use NielsenIQ processes and tools to provide proactive and integrated analysis for customers, make recommendations and proposals. 
  • Lead the renewal and negotiation of tracking contracts while delivering revenue goals, maintaining a long-term growth focus. 
  • Build brand / consumer research awareness in and outside of the organization: presenting at conferences, client and internal events. Understand emerging market trends and interdependencies impacting customers; leveraging knowledge / market understanding to expand relationships with own clients. 

Other 

  • Champion and act as a Brand/Consumer Research expert / resource for the region.  
  • Continuously work on further professional development  
  • Build and adopt technical knowledge related to NielsenIQ tools and services.

Qualifications

Essential:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, behavioral sciences, economics, statistics, or related area. 
  • Previous experience in Brand / Consumer research (sales or consultant). 
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills. 
  • Active listener. 
  • Proven sales acumen. 
  • Competent negotiator with good influencing skills. 
  • Skilled & polished presenter, including client presentations / events. 
  • Logic, deductive reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. 
  • Intellectual curiosity and persistence to find answers to questions. 
  • Strong sense of urgency & accountability to drive client outcomes. 
  • Accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to autonomously manage simultaneous initiatives in a fast-paced business environment. 
  • High say-do ratio. 
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal & external teams. 

Preferred: 

  • Native Romanian (preferred).  Speaking and writing English fluently. 
  • Broad industry knowledge including (but not limited to) FMCG & Retail. 
  • Knowledge of Finance, Telekom, Auto industries would be a bonus.
