Are you passionate about turning raw data into actionable insights? We are seeking a Data Analyst (Python) to join our eData Delivery Team at NIQ. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring that consumption data from online retailers meets the highest quality standards before it enters our cutting-edge ingestion platform. 

As a Data Analyst, you will own the end-to-end process of onboarding, setting up, uploading, and monitoring diverse data types across multiple platforms. Your responsibilities will include cleaning, classifying, and validating data, managing metadata, troubleshooting issues, and supporting client inquiries—all to guarantee data integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide expert support to Data Acquisition teams, Retail Supplier Compliance, and Management specialists on all requests related to data quality testing for new or prospective suppliers. 
  • Perform quality checks on sample data and deliver actionable feedback to ensure accuracy and compliance. 
  • Communicate with retailers to verify data or store-related queries (e.g., missing addresses), conduct analysis, and manage client inquiries effectively. 
  • Configure ingestion platforms by understanding and applying the agreed data formats as per retailer contracts. 
  • Clean, verify, and classify data before uploading files to the designated platforms, ensuring consistency and integrity. 
  • Troubleshoot data issues with online retailers, including incorrect formats, file errors (type, location, special characters), and other upload challenges. 
  • Monitor data delivery schedules, escalate delays, and engage with retailers to resolve timeliness or quality concerns promptly. 
  • Track and update KPIs for online retailers, focusing on data timeliness and quality performance. 
  • Manage eCommerce data workflows, including reception, validation, retailer meetings, and follow-up on quality improvement plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 
  • Python and SQL knowledge: ability to interpret code is essential; programming skills are highly desirable. 
  • Experience working with large datasets (TB scale), including troubleshooting data issues and understanding various data and file formats. 
  • Advanced level of English (written and spoken). 
  • Experience handling inquiries from clients or internal stakeholders is desirable. 
  • Ability to interpret different data structures and mapping accurately. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong ability to adhere to strict schedules. 
  • Flexibility to work across local time zones, including alignment with holidays in supported countries. 
  • Desirable knowledge of eDive analysis and execution, including results interpretation, discussions with retailers, and focus on actionable insights and long-term solution planning.
