About SIMA (Supply Chain & Industry Market Analytics)
SIMA is a team of analysts carrying out in-depth analysis on GfK sell-out data and triangulating it with external data points to explain and anticipate developments in the technology-device marketplace. Our mission is to leverage GfK sell-out data to deliver timely, primary and incremental research to component suppliers, and branded vendors, globally. Role
The role is responsible for sales with Japanese clients. Key targets are supply chain vendors such as component vendors, materials suppliers and foundries based in Japan. This is achieved by proper pipeline management, communication with robust understanding on data and analytics and negotiation skills. Typically, this role is required to open the doors at prospects, then build the relationship together with analyst team. Also, this role is expected to input the client needs into analyst team to improve and develop the new products.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prospecting, selling, closing 5-6 figure annual subscriptions
- Covering Japanese market
- Achieve quota
- Identify local needs and opportunities; participate in product design initiatives
- Build interactive and profitable relationships with clients and prospects
- Create and execute on territory plan and key account plans
- Collect and input key data into centralized sales force automation tool
- Own the clients you win
- Ensure our analysts are exposed to our clients to secure near 100% renewal rate
- Retain and expand existing client relationship
Qualifications
- High interests on consumer technology and Forecasting
- Proven work experience as a sales representative and prospecting experience
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven record of sales goal achievement
- Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent in Japanese and English (written and spoken)
- Interests and understanding in data and analytics
- Experience in semiconductor industry or supply chain industry is a plus
