Role Overview
As a Lead Developer, you will:
- Design and build scalable single-page web applications.
- Lead cross-functional teams through full project lifecycles.
- Evaluate new technologies to enhance our SaaS platform.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through code reviews and testing.
- Mentor developers and foster best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA, DevOps, and other teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement system features.
- Guide team members and delegate tasks effectively.
- Maintain project timelines and stakeholder communication.
- Troubleshoot issues and manage infrastructure resources.
- Document and communicate design decisions clearly.
- Promote automated testing and quality assurance.
Required Competencies
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Effective intra/inter-team communication.
- Experience in architectural design and cross-team collaboration.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Qualifications
Education and experience
- 6 years of software development / engineering experience
- MS/BS in Software Engineering or related discipline
Technical skills
- Experience programming in Java
- Experience with microservice development is a plus
- Experience programming with Javascript frameworks like Angular and Ember
- Experience in web application development
- Understanding of relational databases such as MS SQL Server
- Experience with non-relational databases like MongoDB is a plus
- Familiarity with Agile process
- Passion for learning new technologies
- Experience with IaaS & PaaS from a cloud vendor is a plus. Azure preferred.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
