Job Description

Position Summary: 

As the Regional Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Leader at NIQ, you will hold a critical role in the Global Finance organisation – within our Finance Planning & Analysis Service Delivery Team. Your primary focus will be on end-to-end financial planning and analysis function, driving data integrity, forecast accuracy, and analytical depth across the organization. This role requires advanced proficiency in financial modelling, systems integration, and performance diagnostics to support strategic decision-making. Reporting to the FP&A Service Delivery Lead, the Regional FP&A Leader will act as a technical authority on planning frameworks, variance analysis, and financial automation.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Develop financial models to support decision-making processes related to forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning. Develop / support sensitivity analyses and simulations to assess risk-adjusted outcomes. 

  • Performance Management: Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Conduct root-cause analysis on margin compression, cost overruns, and revenue fluctuations, delivering actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and executive presentations. 

  • Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with multiple internal stakeholders across functions and within Finance to understand their business and financial needs and ensure the FP&A activities align with business objectives. Support the FBP in translating financial data into strategic recommendations. Maintain clear and consistent communication to manage expectations and report findings. 

  • Technical Systems & Reporting: Serve as SME for financial systems (e.g., SAP, Revelio, PBI,) and ensure data integrity across platforms. Standardize reporting templates and automate recurring deliverables where applicable. Ensure compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements. 

  • Process Optimisation: Be a champion of continuous improvement; Identify and implement process improvements in FP&A workflows, reducing cycle times and manual effort. Drive adoption of predictive analytics and machine learning models for forecasting accuracy. 

  • Leadership & Governance: Lead and develop a team of FP&A analysts who are servicing multiple geographies. Establish and enforce financial governance, reporting standards, and compliance protocols. Foster a high-performance culture and continuous learning environment. Represent the region in global FP&A forums, contributing to best practices and capability building. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications such as CFA or CPA is preferred. 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a similar industry or commercial finance role. 

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations and the impact of financial decisions on business outcomes. 

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in financial modelling and experience with financial software and systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc.) and ERP systems. 

  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to synthesize complex data (e.g. across markets and clusters) into actionable insights. 

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines. 

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from stakeholders. 

  • Leadership and Initiative: Proven ability to take initiative, drive change and work independently, as well as part of a team. Leadership experience is a must.
