Job Summary

Responsible for executing technical and statistical aspects of modeling and analytical projects and for ensuring that projects are delivered to the high-quality standards and timeline agreed with clients.

This role will involve collaborating closely with commercial managers and being responsible for projects with guidance from senior analysts or managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • To execute daily modeling work including but not limited to data processing, model adjustment, result validation and ensure that clean, robust, and meaningful results are delivered in response to commercial brief.
  • To identify and solve quality and statistical data issues that may arise throughout the course of the project.
  • To manage the technical and statistical parts of analytical products
  • To participate in and contribute to customized projects and the development of innovative solutions to support functional and industry applications.
  • To support commercial teams in the initial project design and answer technical questions that may arise in results presentation to clients. 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in statistics/maths related background
  • Being familiar with Python is necessary.
  • Solid statistic knowledge and has capability to design new methodology.
  • Good understanding of frequently used Machine Learning Algorithm (e.g., decision tree, random forest, SVM, XGBOOST, network analysis, etc.) 
  • Good analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and project management skills are needed. 
  • Knowledge with R, VBA, SQL, Visualization tool (e.g. Power BI) would be a plus.
  • Experience using Spark/Pyspark would be a plus.
  • Experience working with large data sets and distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, etc.) would be a plus.
  • Experience using Arcgis or QGIS would be a plus.
  • Experience in FMCG / Retail industry would be a plus.
