Senior Test Engineer - Dotnet testing, Chennai/Pune India
We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer (T6) to join our SA&I Engineering team. The team is responsible for survey platforms and panel management software, supporting critical business processes and ensuring high-quality data collection and analysis. Our technology stack includes .NET / C# / SQL Server, and we are actively modernizing our infrastructure toward .NET Core and cloud-native solutions.
This role is ideal for an experienced test engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring others, and is passionate about building scalable and maintainable testing frameworks.
This role includes not only implementing automated testing but also manual testing.
Who We Are Looking For
You are a seasoned test engineer who:
- Has deep experience in software testing methodologies and automation frameworks
- Understands and applies software quality assurance principles
- Is comfortable leading testing initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Mentors junior testers and contributes to team growth
- Takes ownership of complex testing challenges and drives them to resolution
- Is adaptable and continuously learning new technologies
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web and backend applications
- Lead testing efforts for migration of legacy systems to modern platforms
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing
- Conduct thorough manual testing, especially smoke testing after releases, to ensure system stability
- Continue to expand and improve automated testing coverage
- Ensure high test coverage and maintain test documentation
- Conduct code reviews and enforce testing best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex testing issues
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level test engineers
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Strong experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter)
- Important: Familiarity with .NET and .net core applications and SQL Server
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)
- Solid understanding of test design techniques and defect tracking
- Preferred knowledge in:
- Survey and panel management systems
- Bulk email systems and high-volume messaging infrastructure - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
