Job Description
Position Summary
The Cash and Banking Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's cash management and banking operations. This role involves managing banking relationships, ensuring efficient cash flow, and optimizing working capital. The Cash and Banking Head will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining banking system interfaces, managing the general ledger (GL) and sub-ledger (SL) setups in SAP, and overseeing the treasury functions.
Banking System Interface:
Understanding of banking system interfaces to ensure seamless integration with the organization's financial systems.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of banking transactions.
Collaborate with IT and finance teams to troubleshoot and resolve any interface issues.
GL and SL Setup in SAP:
Oversee the setup and maintenance of the general ledger (GL) and sub-ledger (SL) in SAP.
Ensure accurate mapping of financial transactions to the appropriate GL and SL accounts.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.
Banking Process and Clearing Open Items:
Manage the banking process for clearing open items, including reconciliations and settlements.
Ensure timely and accurate clearing of open items to maintain accurate financial records.
Implement and monitor controls to prevent and detect discrepancies in banking transactions.
Treasury Function:
Understanding of treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and investment strategies.
Manage relationships with Treasury team and work closely with then on cash forecasting
Understanding of working capital management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, CA with 8 + Years exp Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cash management, banking operations, and treasury functions.
- Strong knowledge of banking system interfaces and SAP GL and SL setups.
- Excellent understanding of banking processes, including clearing open items and reconciliations.
- Experience in working capital management and optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of banking systems and interfaces.
- Proficiency in SAP, particularly in GL and SL setups.
- Strong understanding of treasury functions and cash flow management.
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Effective problem-solving abilities to address and mitigate risks.
