Job Description
This role manages the full lifecycle of data received by NielsenIQ, ensuring quality across all sources and formats. Responsibilities include conducting quality checks (e.g. acid tests, retailer accreditation), onboarding and monitoring data flows, and maintaining metadata. The role also covers data cleansing, classification, troubleshooting, and direct client interaction to resolve data-related issues and support communication.
Responsibilities:
Quality Testing:
- Support sourcing teams and product leads with data quality checks for new/prospective suppliers.
- Run acid tests, retailer accreditation, and other defined protocols on sample data.
Data Onboarding:
- Set up supplier data formats on ingestion/input platforms.
- Clean, verify, classify, and upload files.
- Troubleshoot formatting or upload issues with suppliers.
BAU Operations:
- Ensure timely data receipt and escalate delays.
- Clean and verify data as needed.
- Contact retailers to resolve queries (e.g. missing store info).
- Monitor uploads and update retailer KPIs (e.g. RIS).
KPI Tracking & Reporting:
- Maintain supplier KPIs on data timeliness and quality.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to improve performance.
- Act as the go-to for data and logic-related questions.
Troubleshooting & Enquiries:
- Engage supplier contacts for late or faulty data.
- Raise and resolve system tickets.
- Address issues flagged by input systems.
- Analyze and respond to client inquiries.
Essential Skills:
- Experience dealing with large amounts of data (TBs) - troubleshooting data issues.
- Excellent organizational skills & ability to strictly follow schedules.
- Advanced Excel skills
- R, SQL & Python basic knowledge (At least one out of R, Python, SQL)
- Strong technical knowledge and business interpretation of data
- General NIQ Systems understanding will be a “+”
- Advanced in English Language
- Good communication skills; excellent analytical skills and detail-oriented
