Sales incentives are a cornerstone of our commercial success, and we are seeking a strategic, data-driven leader to elevate our global incentive programs through best-in-class design, systems, and operational excellence.
This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of how we motivate and reward our sales teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, operational scalability, and data integrity.
The Director of Sales Incentive Strategy, Systems, Processes & Data will be responsible for leading the end-to-end strategy and execution enablement of our global sales incentive programs, with a focus on scalable systems, streamlined processes, and actionable data insights.
This individual will collaborate across Sales, Finance, HR, Legal, and Technology teams to ensure our incentive programs are not only motivating and equitable, but also operationally sound and analytically robust.
As a senior member of the Revenue Intelligence & Sales Incentive Programs team, you will play a critical role in driving transformation, automation, and continuous improvement across the incentive lifecycle—from design to payout.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development and execution enablement of global sales incentive programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regional nuances.
- Own the systems and tools that support incentive planning, calculation, reporting, and payout, driving automation and scalability.
- Design and implement standardized processes for incentive program governance, documentation, and compliance.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, HR, and Legal to ensure incentive plans are motivating, financially sound, and legally compliant.
- Develop and maintain robust data models and dashboards to monitor incentive effectiveness, cost, and performance outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across incentive operations, focusing on risk mitigation, efficiency, and user experience.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of incentive plans and changes to stakeholders, including Sales leadership and plan participants.
- Benchmark industry best practices and bring innovative ideas to enhance our incentive strategy and execution.
- Lead cross-functional projects and change management efforts related to incentive systems and processes.
You should clearly and confidently demonstrate:
- Proven experience in designing and operationalizing global sales incentive programs.
- Strong understanding of incentive systems and technologies (e.g., Xactly, SAP, Salesforce, Anaplan).
- Expertise in process design, documentation, and optimization across complex, matrixed organizations.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to model financial outcomes and interpret performance data.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Commercial acumen and a deep understanding of sales behaviours and motivators.
- Experience in both public and private company environments.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales compensation, revenue operations, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales, sales operations, or incentive systems leadership role.
