RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage local controllership function and smooth financial operations for the NIQ UZ Business.
• Ensure adequate support to the local commercial and operations leadership.
• Manage local statutory accounting & tax accounting  to ensure ongoing compliance with local statutory & tax regulations for the local legal entity.
• Ensure compliance with NIQ global, regional or local policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Drive change locally with regard to standardization and simplification initiatives as governed by the Global or Regional COE core teams or by Finance leadership.
• Carrying out financial reporting month closing activities in SAP/Onestream and ensuring accuracy & timeliness in monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting  in accordance with corporate requirements for the local market.
• Review & sign-off of Monthly Account Reconciliations on global tools & carrying out periodic review of Balance Sheet to identify, report & mitigate any financial risk to the company.
• Act as the principal custodian of the internal controls and SOX documentation and ensure effective control environment through active coordination with the Group Controller and the Global and Regional COE core teams.
• Act as the main point of contact for banking operations, auditors, tax consultants & Authorities (stat/ tax bodies).
• Other ad hoc requests and those related to accounting & reporting function.

The scope of responsibilities listed above cannot be treated as exhaustive and remains at the discretion of the Manager while kept within your professional competence and working schedule.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years’ experience as a Chief Accountant/Associate Finance Manager in a company in Uzbekistan.
• University degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or professional qualification required to be appointed as Chief Accounting Officer of the company in UZ.
• Knowledge of Local GAAPs (UzNAS), US GAAP, Accounting & Stat Reporting and auditing.
• Understanding of Corporate Income Tax, transfer pricing regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, knowledge of SAP will be a big advantage.
• Intermediate or higher level of English, UZ native speaker.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to take initiative & ownership.
