NielsenIQ is measuring the entire spectrum of channels that consumers visit to provide intelligence to our clients on Retail, that helps them shape a smarter marketplace.
NielsenIQ Retail Intelligence Product Leadership team is at the heart of developing the strategy and roadmaps for the suite of products under the Retail Intelligence Business Unit. Leveraging the Global Connect Platform as the foundation for our product strategy, we will be the best FMCG and retail-focused insights company in the world. We will achieve this goal by building and delivering best-in-class measurement of the entire retail landscape that will help clients take business critical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and prioritize product opportunities for Retail Intelligence for our target clients.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to assess market opportunities for potential product development, rationalize the existing product portfolio, and prepare business cases for new developments.
- Own client discovery within the region; understand the industry dynamics today and in the future, the competitive landscape, the buyer personas, and key client business problems.
- Constantly engage with clients through external forums, ongoing business meets & formally organized industry councils to stay abreast of their latest needs.
- Determine product requirements based on discovery and prioritization, working closely with Regional & Global PL teams, Commercial stakeholders, specifically highlighting key client needs in the market.
- Practice consistent application of the Product Development Life Cycle - conducting thorough product discovery and partnering with internal stakeholders such as Operations & Data Science to ensure effective execution of design, build and go-to-market.
- Lead regional GTM strategy in partnership with Marketing & Communication, Global & Regional Product Leadership and Commercial teams.
- Manage expectations with our clients and sales teams on product features and functionality.
- Support Sales teams as needed with client meetings, RFPs as well as internal NielsenIQ Briefings.
- Identify and engage with potential partners to achieve product roadmap objectives.
Qualifications
About you
- Domain expertise in Retail, CPG Manufacturer - Sales & Marketing or Insight or Analytics Functions, a Product focused experience will be valuable.
- A go-getter, self starter attitude without fear of challenges
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams from strategy to execution while creating strong relationships with leaders across Sales, Finance, Operations, Delivery, Technology, Data Science etc.
- Strategic thinker and executor; sees the vision, defines the big picture into action, uses data to make decisions, and leads a team without direct managerial influence to follow and execute with passion
- Excellent ability to communicate with others and build communication and messaging strategies for product initiatives
- A fresh perspective - ability to think creatively, to push for results; won’t accept the status quo
- Demonstrated senior-level influence, stakeholder engagement, organizational savvy, and ability to work directly with senior level personnel at existing and prospective clients
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- 10+ Years of Product Development, Product Marketing, Consulting or Commercial experience with proven ability to lead Product Development Life Cycle; heavy emphasis on client discovery, market opportunity assessments, P&L development and product strategy

- Domain expertise in Retail, CPG Manufacturer Sales & Marketing or Insight Functions
