Job Description
Junior Business Insights Analyst
Do you ever wonder how new product trends emerge?
Do you notice instantly when your favorite yoghurt brand releases a new flavor, or when your go-to shampoo has a 1+1 deal in stores? Are you curious about what people buy every day and eager to dive into the "why" behind their choices? If so, you might be exactly who we're looking for.
At NIQ, we’re proud to be a market leader in analyzing the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. We transform complex data into clear, powerful insights through storytelling and impactful presentations. With over 100 years of expertise behind us, we help the world’s biggest brands make smart, confident decisions.
What You’ll Do
As a Junior Business Insights Analyst, you’ll learn how to turn raw retail data into meaningful stories about market trends and consumer behavior. You'll become familiar with industry-leading tools and metrics and help deliver insight to our clients — top manufacturers and distributors of food, beverages, and personal/home care products. Your key responsibilities will include:
Analyzing retail and shopper data from stores like hypermarkets, supermarkets, drugstores, petrol stations, and more.
Creating client-ready presentations that bring data to life and help our clients understand what’s happening in the market and why.
Collaborating with Sales teams to maximize commercial opportunities and ensure strategic alignment with client goals.
Contributing to team projects, sharing ideas, and gaining knowledge to support your own development and the team's success.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is both analytical and curious — but also confident presenting insights and telling compelling data-driven stories.
Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
Interest in consumer products sold in food and drug stores
Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, insight-driven environment
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Fluent in English and Czech or Slovak (written and spoken)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics, or a similar field
Any relevant internship or work experience is a plus
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
We can offer you an interesting starting position, in which you learn, among other things, how brands and categories are analyzed and how companies deal with market information. You will be working with the top manufacturers and brands on the market. At NielsenIQ we count on providing you with the full training and personal development so you will learn the right skills if you want to continue in market research - and we definitely have a compelling career path to offer - but also if you eventually aspire to a career in brand, sales, (trade) marketing, or category management.
Our people are our most valuable asset, and our culture is very open and informal and hence we are looking for people who are just as open-minded, positive and passionate about FMCG to join our team.
