Job Description
The NielsenIQ Finance team provides a critical leadership role in both the Finance and internal stakeholder organizations. Our role is to provide critical decision support in all areas of value creation for NIQ globally. Working alongside our stakeholders in commercial, operational and functional teams at a global, regional and local level, we play a unique role in driving clarity, transparency, action and performance improvement in all areas of value creation.
As a senior finance leader at NIQ, your accountabilities span both strategic and executional management, and require excellence in collaboration, influencing and team building. Senior finance leaders role-model critical behaviors on behalf of the whole business. This role reports to SVP, Corporate FP&A and will manage a team of 15-20 people across 5 hub locations (China, India, Mexico, Columbia, Poland).
Key Responsibilities
- Define and oversee the Finance Business Intelligence strategy aligned with company goals, ensuring data-driven decision making is implemented consistently worldwide.
- Build a cross-functional BI team to support the business.
- Develop and manage global BI infrastructure including data warehouses, data lakes, and analytic tools. This includes data Ingestion with Data Factory from Finance and Non-Finance Data sources, Data Lake with GCP and Azure, Data Modelling with Snowflake and Data Bricks, Modelization with PBI.
- Enable key metrics and drive the adoption of BI tools and practices across diverse business units and geographic locations.
- Oversee the development and distribution of standardized reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to facilitate data-driven insights.
- Collaborating across corporate, commercial, finance operations and finance transformation to enable reporting and analytic capabilities critical to executing our company strategy.
- Collaborate with business leaders across different regions to understand their specific data needs and lead development of customized BI solutions.
- Build and maintain home grown apps (incl. all wed design and end to end coding / UX) connecting into the Finance Ecosystem, Data Architecture and Data Science to develop leading practice on prescriptive and predictive analytics.
- Establish data quality standards, data governance policies, and data security protocols across all regions to ensure data integrity.
- Build and manage a high-performing global BI team, including data analysts, data engineers, and reporting specialists.
- Monitor emerging BI technologies and trends, identifying opportunities to leverage advanced analytics capabilities like machine learning and AI.
Qualifications
- Experience: 15 – 20 years of financial business intelligence and technology experience.
- Deep BI Expertise: Extensive knowledge of BI tools, data warehousing technologies, data modeling, and data visualization techniques.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations, key performance metrics, and the ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams across different geographical locations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively present complex data insights to diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Global Perspective: Understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to adapt BI strategies to different markets and regions.
