Consumer and shopper behaviour continues to evolve at a continually increasing pace.  Understanding this behaviour and resulting performance of CPG products is critical to our clients. When these customers are looking to grow, they need a partner who can help them understand where and how they can grow, leveraging the CPG industry’s best retail and consumer measurement data, as well as strategic analytics and insights.  This exciting role works with organizations to leverage NIQ’s data resources and assets to identify key industry and category trends to unlock opportunities to help them realize their ambitions. In this role of Manager/Senior Manager, New Business Development, you will be responsible for guiding new Singapore-based clients through the best solution to their needs for market measurement and strategic analytics and insights. This role will work to identify the solutions and commercial strategies to achieve new, incremental business, build meaningful client relationships, and ultimately close deals. This is an individual contributor role and the successful candidate will join a team of high performing associates as part of the Singapore business that works both with local giants and multinationals.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Executing commercial strategy and sales of NIQ’s measurement solutions to Singapore-based clients
  • Achieving sales and strategic objectives by clearly articulating NIQ’s value proposition and use cases to decision makers specific to the product portfolio of responsibility
  • Building meaningful client relationships with client stakeholders and teams
  • Representing the voice of the customer to internal product development, product marketing, communications and delivery teams 
  • Working collaboratively with other product sales leads & cross functional partners 
  • Achieving sales quota consistent with NielsenIQ margin goals and delivery expectations
  • Generate sales leads and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities across a portfolio of clients consistent with NIQ’s growth strategy
  • Accurately forecasting the sales pipeline, areas of growth, areas of risk and prioritize to close sales consistent with sales cycle norms
  • Ability to weave client specific insights, industry material and thought leadership information into client conversations to build context and clarity to the outcomes our solutions can deliver
  • Own cross functional relationships and be a subject matter expert for your accounts and partners in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ of business development/customer facing roles
  • Previous experience working in the areas of market measurement, data sales experience is a plus
  • Experienced in discovery, scoping and developing proposals and negotiation strategies
  • Excellent sales pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistency 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including CRM
  • Familiarity with NIQ tools, applications and platforms is a plus
