Growth begins and ends with understanding people, so we are seeking a person to join our Consumer Behavior & Insights Practice Area, where you will help our clients put people at the heart of their strategy! NielsenIQ's Consumer Behavior & Insights practice translate human insights into powerful growth strategies, understanding consumers and shoppers through purchases, clicks and trends, and the motivations behind them. Our Consumer Behavior & Insights solutions includes Buying Behavior, Consumer Trends, Customer Journey and Consumer Landscaping & Segmentation.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage a team of Market Researchers to coach and mentor both direct and indirect reports, developing & strengthening their competency skills. 
  • Responsible for timely and high-quality final reports presented to clients, serving as final reviewer, building an accurate and complete understanding of the market with insightful data. 
  • Acts as the “expert on call” for clients, resolving issues and driving technical dialogue, driving expertise of services, tools and metrics.   
  • Works closely with internal teams and clients to understand client’s business priorities and opportunities for engagement, executing against an analytic strategy that is aligned with client expectations.   
  • Accountability and support for teams throughout the project life-cycle, including assisting custom study design and proposal elaboration, developing questionnaires aligned with client goals, data analysis, charting, storytelling, as well as actionable consumer insight and recommendations. 
  • Identify development areas for project team, looking for opportunities to stretch and grow junior talent, monitoring influx of project work and manages across the team to ensure work is distributed efficiently.   
  • Takes on opportunities to contribute to the broader organization through task forces and special projects.   
  • Develops and maintains client standards: deliverables, terminology, questionnaire standards, study designs, etc. and creates client playbooks

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree holder in Marketing, Economics, or relevant disciplines 
  • Working experience in marketing research or related field.  
  • Strong understanding of research techniques to enable meaningful conversations with all client stakeholders and ensure accurate representation of the data in reporting and insights. 
  • Strong analytical thinking, detailed oriented and strong organization skills. 
  • Ability to effectively coach and develop a team of junior and mid-level associates. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to clearly pull together a story that will resonate with the client 
  • Able to operate in a multi-cultural environment and handle multiple stakeholders internally and externally. 
  • Fluent in English and Microsoft Office Suite
