NPI is a product attribution solution that enables market measurement through claims, certifications, and ingredient-level product characteristics. Used in tandem with NIQ’s global retail measurement sales data and panel insights, NPI is uniquely positioned to help retailers and manufacturers drive growth and innovation strategy to better meet the needs of consumers.

The VP will be responsible for expanding NPI into international markets, translating global commercial strategies to meet country-level financial targets. This position will build and lead a global, remote team that is responsible for securing new business, renewing existing clients and performing all sales activities and account management throughout the sales cycle. The NPI team is a Specialty Sales team, collaborating closely with NIQ Account Leaders and sales support functions throughout the sales and delivery process.   

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Market Leaders to develop and implement sales strategies to meet country level financial targets, focused initially on building the customer base in Canada and Western Europe.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing sales team, cultivating a culture of growth and engagement.
  • Own financial oversight including accurate forecasting, financial planning and setting performance metrics.
  • Leverage and coordinate across NIQ internal functions (Product, Operations, Legal, Contracts, Marketing, Finance, etc.) to effectively support and execute sales strategies.
  • Provide the Voice of the Customer and competitive intelligence to drive solution innovation and continuous improvement of business processes.
  • Support and participate in team and corporate growth initiatives.
  • Help provide the commercial perspective in all cross-functional strategic planning events.
  • Contribute to monthly reporting/tracking of strategic initiatives and leadership presentations when required.
  • Become proficient in NIQ solutions, systems, data, and tools.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in a sales leadership role, with direct management of quota carrying sales associates 
  • Strong understanding of the FMCG industry, syndicated data, data analytics, SAS business model
  • Selling to retail and manufacturers/global is a bonus
  • Track record of developing and executing against sales strategies to meet targets
  • Demonstrated experience with recruiting and developing a high-performance sales team
  • Polished, persuasive verbal and written communication skills; executive-level engagement
  • Hunter mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective, collaborative relationships
  • Bachelor's degree required  
  • Ability to meet travel requirements of up to 50%
