Job Description FP&A Senior Analyst - Technology at NIQ Position Summary:
The FP&A Senior Analyst - Technology at NielsenIQ represents a crucial position within our Corporate Finance Planning & Analysis Team. It is a key role responsible for supporting financial planning and analysis activities for the Technology divisions.
This role involves ensuring that all FP&A services meet the highest standards of efficiency, accuracy, and customer centricity, while adhering to defined service level agreements (SLAs) with internal stakeholders. The Associate will be instrumental in transforming the way finance operates, providing detailed financial insights that drive informed decision-making and contribute to the company's overall success.
Key Responsibilities: • Financial Planning & Analysis:
Participate in local FP&A team activities, ensuring planning cycles and reporting deadlines are met. Provide clear and accurate tracking of actuals versus Plan/Forecast/Prior Year.
• Technology Support: Contribute to forecasting and reporting for the operating plan, including P&L management for expenses and analysis of key financial data for the Technology divisions.
• Month-End Close Processes: Participate in month-end close activities, providing status updates on expenses and revenue, and monitoring performance indicators to highlight trends and analyze variance causes.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the annual budget, 3-year plan, and forecast processes. Assist in monthly and quarterly financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of insights.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Use tools like SAP Business Objects and Power BI for data analysis and visualization, providing variance analysis, financial insights, and updates on financial master data.
• Process Improvement & Automation: Participate in process automation and standardization efforts, ensuring efficiency and control in financial reporting. Control monthly closing processes in compliance with US GAAP policies.
• KPI Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor KPIs to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A services, continuously improving data quality and process performance.
• Collaboration: Liaise with finance and non-finance teams, working closely with global FP&A peers and providing support to Finance Business Partners (FBPs) for monthly operational meetings and forecasts.
• Special Projects & Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support ad-hoc analytical projects and special requests, including capex management, free cash flow analysis, and providing financial insights for senior
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CA/CFA/CIMA/CPA is a must Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a multinational corporation or Financial Operations environment.
• Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial systems and tools, such as Excel (advanced), financial planning software, and ERP systems.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when managing financial data and preparing reports.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to various stakeholders. Fluency in English, both verbal and written
• Process Improvement: Ability to identify inefficiencies and drive process optimization initiatives within FP&A functions.
• Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally, collaborating effectively with finance and non-finance teams to achieve business objectives. • Customer-Centricity: Commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused services to internal stakeholders.
