Job Description

Objective

To manage the execution of marketing research studies by compiling, analysing, and interpreting marketing research data, in the field of BASES Pricing and Portfolio solutions using NIQ proprietary models, writing client reports, and constructing presentations
 
To coach more junior analysts on their projects to build their confidence & expertise 

To act as a consultant to clients and internal staff on study and research and design issues related to these types of projects


RESPONSIBILITIES

  •     Coaches more junior analysts in their forecast and Pricing and Portfolio projects 
  •     Good time and project management skills, able to manage projects with minimal supervision  
  •     Reviews more junior analysts’ work in preparation of Pricing and Portfolio outputs 
  •     Provides directions and consults with analytical staff on simulations and possible adjustments, as well as specific forecasting issues whenever necessary
  •     Supervises all stages of project management and monitors performance
  •     Reviews data for errors and inconsistencies
  •     Reviews final deliverables before delivery to clients
  •     Consults with clients regarding general Portfolio & Pricing questions
  •     Develops strong client equity through accurate and timely deliverables as well as prompt problem resolution 
  •     Consulting with clients on project related matters demonstrating clear and concise communication and issue resolution skills 
  •     Summarizes data for the production of tables, charts, and graphs 
  •     Prepares inputs and runs Pricing and Portfolio models.  
  •     Constructs, implements or consults on analytical plan
  •     Analyses in-market data
  •     Prepares initial client correspondence 
  •     Attends client meetings and presentations 
  •     Identifies solutions to problems  
  •     Analyses study results to prepare accurate consultative topline reports and presentations
  •     Able to learn and use internal tools and data sources
  •     Work effectively and efficiently within a virtual environment

REQUIREMENTS

  •     University degree in Marketing, Economics or related field a must, preferred Postgraduate or MBA
  •     6+ years’ experience in Marketing Research
  •        Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  •     Statistics, research techniques, and experimental procedures
  •     Knowledge of marketing research preferably forecasting, pricing studies and choice modelling
  •     Knowledge of in-market data
  •     Knowledge of the consumer packaged goods industry
  •     Demonstrates strong leadership and people management skills
  •     Deep understanding of the principles of Nielsen Innovation Pricing and Portfolio solutions
  •     Strong Business English knowledge, both verbal and written (and local language if required)
  •     Good business- and financial acumen (including business environment and client)
  •     Good analytical skills
  •     Good communication skills
  •     Consultative story telling
  •     Strong analytical mind and excellent numerical skills
  •     Very good knowledge on advanced analysis, methods, and tools
  •     Ability to travel
