ABOUT THIS JOB 

Global Mobility Specialist

The HR Specialist Global Mobility is a key part of the Global Mobility team. Reporting to the Senior Global Mobility Consultant, the Specialist will facilitate employee moves from one country to another, including short-term stays, localized arrangements, and expatriate packages.

 RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Act as the point of contact for the HR community, managers, employees, and external stakeholders on global mobility and process issues
  • Provide support and guidance for a smooth relocation and integration into the host country by closely monitoring the entire relocation process and maintaining close contact with external service providers
  • Work with the company’s immigration specialist to advise and support employees and foreign local hires on immigration, tax, social security, and labor law requirements before, during and, if necessary, after the relocation
  • Coordinate a regular exchange with the HR community and external stakeholders either by email or meetings to ensure compliance with internal processes and policies as well as legal requirements
  • Act as a liaison between expats/foreign local hires and internal departments and local authorities to ensure all requirements and needs are met
  • Contribute to the continuous development of our internal relocation processes and policies
  • Prepare cost estimates and income comparison calculations as a basis for business planning and decisions
  • Process invoices for our external Global Mobility service providers using our internal SAP Supplier Relationship Management program (SRM) and troubleshoot invoicing issues as they arise
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Global Mobility Consultant

Qualifications

  •  
  • Minimum high school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience supporting the administration of global mobility processes for one or more multinational companies
  • Understanding of international assignment processes, including work permits, visas, and relocation logistics
  • Experience in coordinating and managing relocation services, including housing, schooling, and healthcare arrangements
  • Familiarity with international tax considerations and their impact on globally mobile employees
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and English proficiency to effectively collaborate with employees, managers, and external vendors in several countries
  • Ability to prioritize work and adjust priorities as needed, with strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to research independently and present findings in order to resolve questions and issues
  • Exhibits a service-mindset in all interactions with internal and external contacts
  • Proficiency in using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, international relations, or a related field
  • Experience with Workday HR system
  • Compensation and benefits experience
  • Good written communication skills in English including writing and editing emails, documents, and policy language
  • Confidence and ability to form strong relationships with stakeholders
