Job Description

The Billing & Revenue Team Lead at NIQ will oversee the Billing & Revenue team within the Global Finance Operations. This leadership role is pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of NIQ through expert management of billing and revenue recognition processes. The Team Lead will mentor and guide the Senior Analysts, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, statutory requirements, and internal policies, while fostering a collaborative environment to meet the company’s strategic financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of Billing & Revenue Analysts. Provide training, set objectives, review performances, and promote best practices in billing and revenue management.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve billing and revenue processes and systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with Client Service teams, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between billing practices and client contracts.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the monthly and quarterly closing process for billing and revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and applicable regional financial regulations.
  • Contract Review and Execution: Supervise the administration, review, and validation of sales contracts to recognize revenue and establish billing plans. Ensure contracts are compliant with global and regional policies.
  • Problem Resolution: Act as a senior point of contact for resolving complex billing issues and disputes, working closely with internal teams and clients to maintain positive relationships and client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent is a must.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance operations, with a strong focus on billing and revenue recognition in a multinational company. At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Excellent English written, verbal and communication skills and fluent in Italian (B2)
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and systems, with a strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and US GAAP. Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data and translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team, driving them towards operational excellence.
