About the Job

Our NielsenIQ technology teams are working on building a unified, global, open data ecosystem . Our clients worldwide rely on NielsenIQ data and insights to innovate and grow. We are looking for an experienced C++ Developer to be part of our Technology hub in Pune or Chennai, to build and transform our factory systems, which are critical to the business.

C++ engineer provides expert computer programming analysis and development expertise to design, develop, test and implement enhancements and upgrades to core business applications.

Responsibilities

  • Approach work from an Agile mindset applying practices and principles wherever possible
  • Attend and participate in all Sprint events to achieve desired outcomes
  • Interact with stakeholders/Product Owners to clarify requirements and provide input into the creation of User Stories
  • Responsible for estimation, sprint planning and managing all their own tasks, and reporting on progress
  • Collaborates closely with all team members to take shared responsibility for the sprint backlog and the team’s success
  • Develops new or amended features, resolves bugs, and carries out other tasks as required to realize business goals
  • Produces high-quality code and takes responsibility for the quality of their own code - writing unit tests and conducting unit testing where applicable
  • Maintains broader code quality through peer code reviews
  • Assist with live releases in line with the team’s release schedule
  • Identify improvement opportunities to improve team processes and agree on actionable improvements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in C++.
  • Degree qualification (BE or B.Tech) in a relevant field of work or equivalent professional qualification or experience
  • Strong hands-on technical skills on C++, Shell Scripting , Linux 
  • Basic Knowlesge on Python and SQL
  • Unit Testing (Gtest)
  • GITHub - Hands on Exp
  • Excited by technology, with upto date understanding of the latest technologies
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly
  • Familiarity and good experience with Agile development methodologies and the complete product lifecycle from inception to delivery
  • Good understanding of software architecture, issues, and design
  • Good understanding of data structure and databases
  • Proven track record or working as part of a team to deliver software solutions to meet customer needs
  • Thorough and detailed approach with the ability to identify appropriate user/business solutions
  • Some experience in code reviews and coding standards
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
