Job Description

Scope: 

The DC team is at the intersection between Client Team and the Data Science Team. Together, you will actively work with both stakeholders. 
Markets : Greater China and possibly some projects in Asia Pacific Region 
Global/regional/ local: Sub-Regional/Local 
 

Purpose of the role: 

Being the key contact point between data science and commercial teams, helping commercial team to understand the retail products and the methodology behind it.  
Supporting the clients’ business needs and driving internal product enhancement at the same time. 
Analyzing large amounts of data captured by NielsenIQ’s research team to arrive at insights regarding trends as well as opportunities for further study/drilldown. 
Working hand in hand with the client to explain to them the specific aspects of the studies being undertaken and help the client better understand the data in a more intelligible way through a simple, but effective methodology. 
Respond to client questions regarding data irregularities and help the client understand the methodology being employed by NielsenIQ’s statistical tools. 
Create clear insights and examples, either through visualizations or through raw data analysis in order to answer the main question of WHY the data is behaving a certain way. 
Engage and align with multiple stakeholders on data requirements as well as in design for new studies. 
Testing new methods, softwares and workflows constantly and checking if they can improve productivity.  
 

Main Accountabilities: Work closely with key account clients to ensure that their data requirements are satisfied and that they are satisfied with NielsenIQ’s retail analysis methodology. 
Conduct various studies within departments in NielsenIQ for updating, improving and creating new data requirements for the client. 
Understand client requirements and translate them into intelligent insights by creatively using NielsenIQ’s data. 
Contribute to creating best practices for the country/ cluster/ region and sharing them with other data departments 
Improve the product through active inputs and engagement with the Data Science team.
