Regional Revenue Assurance Manager - APAC based

Job Description

Purpose

Revenue is one of the most improtant KPI’s for NIQ, this individual has accountablity for all revenue accounting realated activities, driving end to end processes that ensure financial compliance.   

With the accountablility for all revenue processes across the region of control, including reviewing of contracts and working with commercial team on contract constucts.  

Responsibilities

  • Activly engage with stakeholders to ensure accurate revenue recognition and guide on contract variations, including but not limited to FP&A, Tax, legal, Corporate leadership and Commercial teams
  • Accountable for accurate Revenue-related reporting in line with published policies
  • Ensure regional statutory compliance related to revenue accounting; monitor and provide guidance on related statutory and tax accounting, reporting, and audit
  • Accountable for the management and maintenance and compliance of Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) processes.
  • Lead onshore and offshore revenue teams
  • Accountable for ensuring SOX compliance at all times relating to Revenue Recognition, guiding where appropriate.
  • Liaises with auditors, lawyers and tax advisors to ensure effective local compliance
  • Responsible for ensuring internal and external audit requirements are met, and queries managed effectively
  • Collaborate with the Operational Controller during audits (CAS, statutory, VAT, etc) based on pre-defined way of work according to Global/Regional COE standard
  • Lead and drive the month end/quarter end/year end close processes, ensuring the close calendar is adhered to/improved upon
  • Accountable for the closing activities, including accruals, provisions and reconciliations, are appropriate and accurate and are performed in accordance with US-GAAP/Stat rules
  • Oversee the completion of necessary documentation for filing forms, supplying certification of residency for POC clients.
  • Responsible for ensuring unbilled values are accurately recorded, and where necessary amending process / working with legal on contract terminology to reduce delays
  • Oversee and maintain the internal control environment for responsible region
  • Identify process improvement and/or automation opportunities and implement solutions that improve timeliness and accuracy of financial transactions
  • Provide supervision, coaching and mentoring to wider teams and ensure high degree of energy and engagement
  • Support a culture of contioious improvment and/or automation, guiding and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.

  • Legal/Contracts Administration locally
  • Internal and External Audit teams or Consultants

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • At least 6 years finance experience, within a multinational/multi-cultural environment
  • Expert in revenue accounting

Experiance, Skills and Ablilities

  • Knowledge in financial systems such as SAP, HFM, Onestream
  • Inspirational leadership skills
  • Fluency in English and local language mandatory, third regional language prefererred
  • Practice in contract language
  • Leading remote teams
  • CRM tools such as MSD
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-change environment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Skilled and working knowled in SOX, ASC 606, US GAPP
