Job Description

 

Objective:

To assist with the preparation & the execution of marketing research studies by supporting in the pre-field part of the project, and then compiling, analyzing, and interpreting marketing research data, writing client reports, and constructing presentations.   

 

Accountabilities:

  • Discusses test design, questionnaires, coding, and table preparation with Project Development staff 

  • Reviews data for errors and inconsistencies 

  • Summarizes data for the production of tables, charts, and graphs 

  • Analyzes in-market data 

  • Analyzes study results to draft reports and presentations  

  • Prepares initial client correspondence  

  • Interacts with client staff on routine issues 

  • Attends client meetings and presentations occasionally in person but most often over the phone 

  • Drives time/cost effectiveness on project 

  • Mentors junior team members as well as provide guidance to peers 

  • Uses internal tools and data sources 

  • Good teamwork skills  

 

Requirements:

Knowledge of;  

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

  • Statistics and marketing research techniques 

 

Skills 

  • Understanding the key principles of forecasting  

  • Understanding the key principles of forecasting  

  • Strong Business English knowledge, both verbal and written (and local language if required) 

  • Good business- and financial acumen (including business environment and client) 

  • Good analytical skills 

  • Good communication skills & visualization skills – interested in story telling techniques 

  • Comfortable working in a digital enabled environment  

  • Ability to work within a virtual environment 

 

Education and Experience  

  • University degree in Marketing, Economics or related field a must, preferred Postgraduate or MBA 

  • 2-3 years’ experience in Marketing Research 

  • Strong analytical mind and excellent numerical skills 

  • Good organisational skills 

  • Very good interpersonal skills 

  • Business acumen
