Job Description
ABOUT THIS JOB
At Nielsen, a Cash Application Associate must identify, analyze, (might include manually taking payments), payments made by the clients to processing and recording them in financial records to keep Accounts Receivables Nielsen’s records updated.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow established procedures for processing payments, ensure accurate allocation and posting of customer payments to their accounts, utilizing various payment methods such as checks, wire transfers, and online platforms.
- Manage daily cash application of payments made to several banks’ accounts.
- Responsible for cash reconciliation process, if needed request support to collection teams to identify client’s payment details and minimize.
- Continuously identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cash application procedures.
- Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department
- Communicate & follow up effectively with Collectors team to reconcile or get payment information and reduce maximum ‘On account cash’.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with Treasury Associate accelerate Internal & External Audit
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in economics or accounting preferred.
- Proven experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role.
- Fluency in English and local language mandatory; third regional language preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in multinational, multi-cultural environment.
- Experience working with remote counterparts.
- Experience of 1-3 years working in Cash App or Accounting
- SAP and Excel Knowledge must
