Cybersecurity, Engineer – Threat Detection Operations

NielsenIQ is working toward a position of greater maturity within the Endpoint and Network Security technology domain.  This position will be responsible for maintaining current technologies while working toward implementing more sophisticated means of endpoint and network visibility and control.  You will be supporting programs across all geographies and business units.  

As a Cybersecurity Security Engineer in Threat Ops, you will be responsible for ongoing maintenance and operations of current tools, as well as ongoing modification so that the abilities of the tools are actualized.  The primary focus will be administration of various visibility and control tools implemented across a diverse array of platforms. 

This position will involve working closely with Enterprise IT, infrastructure teams and the Governance Risk and Controls team to operate various tools.  

What you’ll do: 

  • Operate and maintain current endpoint and network control solutions 

  • Provide 1st level configuration support and participate in troubleshooting activities to support application platforms as well as end users 

  • Support the Security Operations Center and Incident Response functions 

  • Write, create and update documentation for internal teams, technical users and end users 

  • Support organization-wide campaigns to drive security foundations into all technology 

Qualifications

We’re looking for people who have: 

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience administrating various security tools related to network visibility and/or control in an enterprise environment (Secure Web Gateway, proxy servers, SaaS/CASB, host-based and network firewalls) 

  • Ability to provide 1st level support and troubleshooting for user requests as well as perform issue triage for 2nd level support 

  • Complete understanding of the OSI model and IP networking is required 

  • A strong command of spoken and written English, in order to facilitate communications with our global workforce 

  • Experience with enterprise ticket management solutions is required 

  • Demonstrated experience with change management in enterprise production environments 

  • Ability to directly support incident response teams 

  • Hands-on experience managing Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Antivirus (AV) solutions is a strong plus.
