Senior Manager - Price and Promotion - Analytics

Job Description

The CPG industry relies on NielsenIQ for understanding emerging market trends for their growth strategy. This role will entail providing information services and products to our clients, mostly in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry.  Our data offers comprehensive and timely information on market shares and category penetration, competitive sales estimates and insights into distribution, pricing, merchandising and promotion. By combining this detailed information with our professional consultative services, we offer valuable insights and expertise that help consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands and retailers improve their performance, marketing and sales decisions. The role will be working in the commercial team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relationship Management

  • Own the client relationship for the assigned accounts and have a strong understanding of their business priorities in analytics space for Price and Promotion (PnP) and Route to Market Analytics- Distribution Optimization, Pareto analysis, Key Business Drivers etc
  • Understand business and organization structure of the customers and foster relationships across various levels and within various functions of the client organization namely CMI, Sales, Marketing to identify opportunities for analytics solutions
  • Engage clients through physical visits & partner through product demos and solution updates to help clients to derive value from NIQ analytics solutions
  • Help educate customers on the value of Analytics products in distribution, pricing, merchandising and promotion

Business Development

  • Use data and tools strategically to identify areas of opportunities within the allocated portfolios
  • Build a strong opportunity pipeline through regular engagement with various functional teams at the client’s end
  • Develop a winning sales pitch for retaining current business and find ways to develop additional business
  • Work on strategic partnership to activate new clients and revive lapsed/existing clients among the assigned set
  • Launch and introduce new products and services in the market to drive adoption among assigned clients
  • Own & maintain account sales targets with detailed action/activity tracking
  • Contribute to the short-term strategies and business plans for the growth of the business unit based on global and regional direction

Financial Management

  • Achieve key financial metrics: revenue, WIN Rate, and cash collection, as well as other related business development objectives
  • Effectively use sales technology and digital tools (Microsoft Dynamics) for efficient working by recording prospects, forecast pipeline and convert sales
  • Ensure client alignment while driving adherence to pricing and contract SLAs according to company's policies and guidelines
  • Implement NIQ’s financial guidelines such as forecast and pipeline management with clients
  • Monitor the actual financial performance against budget/forecast and ensure the implementation of actions that will lead to the achievement of the targets

A team player, who can collaborate with customers, internal peers, and leadership, to co-create solutions with motivation and capability to deliver optimum value to our clients.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or a Diploma in Marketing
  • Minimum 8 -10 years’ experience in the Marketing, Business Development, Market Research, or in the consulting agencies
  • Prior working experience with the FMCG industry would be an added advantage
  • Has knowledge of syndicated service or research selling techniques and methodologies
  • Has strong analytical skills and commercial business acumen
  • Impressive oral & written communication skills for engaging with clients, internal stakeholders, external partners etc.
  • Open to learn new digital tools for sales and marketing

Preferred Skillsets

  • (Analytics)
  • Experience in creating data insights and analysis
  • Worked with data asset delivery projects and reports
  • Worked previously in global analytics centres, agency, client side
