About the job

Senior Analyst will work in Retail Analytics Team to support the implementation of client solutions and deliver analytical projects to build customer-centric strategies for NIQ’s Client (Jumbo supermarket) based in the Netherlands.

The person will be accessing, analyzing and interpreting customer and transactional data to facilitate the implementation of NIQ’s CRM Marketing, Insights and solutions in collaboration with Jumbo.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally to deliver and present actionable customer insights to senior stakeholders at Jumbo (the 2nd largest retailer in the Netherlands) with ability to convey complex analytical subjects to less-analytical audiences
  • Deliver projects and reports analyzing the shopping behavior of over 3 mil Loyalty program members to drive customer strategy
  • Collaborate with Central (R&D) teams to configure and implement advanced models that deliver over 1 billion personal offers each year to Jumbo’s customers
  • Lead projects that forecast, measure and quantify the results of marketing campaigns and programs
  • Own the delivery of multiple and concurrent analytical projects
  • Find efficiencies by identifying faster and simpler ways to deliver ongoing customer reports
  • Always look out and experiment with different techniques/methods to improve existing solutions
  • Managing initiatives with a ‘get things done’ mentality and strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to work under stress, sometimes due to tight deadlines.
  • Strong presentation skills including the ability to convey often complex analytical subjects to less-analytical audiences.

About Retail Analytics team

The unit specializes in delivering bespoke analytical projects to improve Jumbo’s Customer program and Supplier interaction programs. By applying a ‘can do’ attitude, translate NielsenIQ’s solutions and recommendations into tangible benefits for our client and support their strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
  • 2+ years of directly related work experience in Retailer / Marketing / CRM analytics.
  • Proficiency in working with statistical and econometric models in marketing to support clients in preferably Retail and CPG areas.
  • Background from working in other data-rich B2C industries can be considered
  • Proficiency in using SQL.
  • Python knowledge is advantage
  • A consultant mindset in problem diagnosis and actionable solution proposes based on data and data analysis.
  • Ability to communicate insights from data using narratives and visualizations.
  • Good team spirit.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
