Job Description

Position Summary:

The Order to Cash Manager at NIQ is a key financial position responsible for overseeing the collection of receivables and managing the cash flow from operations across designated geographic and language areas. This role is crucial for driving a best-in-class credit collection function, minimizing overdue debt, and maximizing cash flow. The Manager will lead process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives, overseeing a team of approximately 25 staff members and reporting functionally to the Global Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debt Collection Management: Oversee the collection of debts and manage receivables, implementing strategies to reduce days sales outstanding (DSO) and minimize overdue accounts. Ensure delivery of required service levels and KPIs and manage day-to-day credit control operations to achieve set targets.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and motivate a team of professionals in the Invoice to Cash department. Set performance standards, evaluate team members, and provide training to enhance their skills and efficiency. Monitor and advise on team performance to enhance staff development and manage human resource planning and performance reviews in line with SLAs.
  • Process Standardization and Improvement: Continuously review and standardize invoicing and collection processes across different regions to ensure operational excellence. Initiate and lead projects aimed at improving processes and systems, including establishing best-in-class collection processes and supporting transitions within hubs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the Global Finance Director, senior management, and commercial colleagues to align the Invoice to Cash functions with overall financial strategies and resolve billing and collection disputes.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of collection activities and financial statuses, including management information related to the invoice to cash function. Comply with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to credit and collections.
  • Strategic Projects: Support strategic projects related to finance and collections, providing expertise and leadership to ensure successful implementation and results. Contribute to process standardization and drive continuous improvement while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Operational Excellence: Conduct monthly debtor’s reviews, target setting, and ensure the close of period activities align with group reporting requirements. Oversee quality control of team interactions with clients to support client-centricity and the cash collection process.
  • Proven technical knowledge of SAP with a track record of test scrip development, performing and managing a UAT process, migration and implementation.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, with a strong emphasis on credit and collections management. Prior experience in a leadership role managing mid to large-sized teams is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, particularly those related to invoicing and cash collection.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess credit risks and financial data, enabling strategic decision-making and operational adjustments.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing internal and external stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and direct a large team towards achieving departmental and organizational goals.
