Job Description

CGA’s by NIQ's Client Manager (CM) integral role in the commercial direction and success of the CGA in Seoul, South Korea.

Targeting a portfolio of multi-national clients, the CM builds & grows strong & long-lasting commercial relationships with key stakeholders & decision makers. The CM is crucial in finding new clients and additional opportunities within existing accounts to drive new opportunities, share the latest in product developments and be the thought leader within the industry. The CM uses best-in-class client management and developing engagement and sales plans to meet outreach and revenue targets.

As an expert on both the market and CGA’s suite of services, the CM identifies, proposes & upsells the most appropriate projects or solutions in order deliver on clients needs.

Demonstrating great leadership skills, the CM works closely with the CGA client success team and cross functional support team to drive the commercial plan and deliver revenue. In conjunction with the Client Solutions Director the CM builds and implements the local commercial plan across the market to deliver the key objectives of the market. The CM is always a custodian of CGA’s culture & core values.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Planning

  • Produce yearly account plans, with Client Director and commercial team, for each client, identifying new opportunities & strategies for growth
  • Create, plan and deliver key commercial initiatives and NPD go to market in South Korea
  • Lead the go to market plan implementation for new product launches across the market
  • Support monthly sales and engagement forecasting and operational reporting
  • Work closely with the Client Success Manager on annual planning to identify renewal timings and opportunities within account development plans

Engagement, Insight and Outreach

  • Grow network of new stakeholders and leads across new businesses and teams, building & maintaining strong peer to peer relationships
  • Ensure all presentations provide the client with SMART recommendations which are in line with their business objectives
  • Find new opportunities to drive the CGA awareness and generate leads through outreach
  • Be active in developing awareness of CGA and our product suite through external comms, thought leadership delivery and engaging with the trade and publishers
  • To provide a credible and expert opinion in helping beverage suppliers build and activate channel plans

Business Development

  • To lead all business development and partnership activities for CGA’s On Premise toolkit, with support from the local and global commercial leadership 
  • Ensure all meetings are well planned to achieve optimum client engagement
  • Build sales stories that support CGA’s complete service offering, & confidently promote USPs of CGA services vs competitor alternatives
  • Deliver top quality presentations on how the CGA portfolio of services provide best in class insights
  • To support in-market Data Acquisition activity across the market.
  • Draw on CGA services, market expertise & understanding of client business to advise client on how to achieve their goals in the most effective manner
  • Work with Client Director to identify opportunities for board level engagement & strategic consultancy prospects

Leadership and Teamwork

  • Where required the CM will lean in to support Client Success in taking client briefs, providing consultancy and supporting the operations of the function in conjunction with the client success manager.
  • Collaborate closely with the local lead and Client Success and Product Leadership teams in order to dovetail market engagement plans with product development milestones.

  • Be the face of our business to clients in South Korea and present the best view of CGA externally

Qualifications

  • Experience and genuine interest/knowledge of, the On-Premise sector and the key categories and suppliers in the area.
  • 2-6 years' experience with an On-Premise beverage supplier, distributor or research agency which touches the On-Premise channel.
  • Account management/sales experience preferable.
  • Organised, excellent attention to detail and bias for action
  • A fantastic written and verbal communicator, outgoing and able to build relationships quickly 
  • Fluency in Korean language is preferred.
  • Experience with CRM sales platforms.
