Associate Director/ Director, Client Solutions - Liquor

Job Description

As a Client Solutions Lead in our Liquor practice area, our ideal candidate is an experienced operator within the Australian liquor industry. They are customer centric, passionate about innovation, commercially orientated and can be data-savvy when required.

The Client Solutions Lead will play an integral role in the commercial direction and success of the On and Off Prem business. With unique On Prem and off Prem NIQ solutions and innovation that has recently launched and resonated strongly with liquor manufacturers this role will suit driven, strategic thinkers, who are (ideally) well-networked in the sector.

With the high degree of autonomy this position offers. This role requires strong leadership; with team management and the ability to drive collaboration across diverse teams to achieve shared objectives. And ultimately, act as trusted advisor for wider commercial team, offering expertise, product knowledge and support throughout sales process.

Responsibilities

Financial Management:

  • Take ownership of achieving the budget targets for Australia Liquor which including proactively identify revenue opportunities and devise plans for closing these
  • Coordinate the annual Budget setting with targets that are both realistic and ambitious. Ensure accurate forecasting of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual targets, in collaboration team. 
  • Take the lead in orchestrating and delivering sales presentation, including managing major RMS (scan), CGA (on prem) & CPS (shopper) pitches. This involves leading sales pitches and delivering proposals.

Commercial Strategy & Go to Market

  • Lead the development, refinement, and execution of the commercial strategy for the liquor channel, including develop and implement sales plans, focusing on client acquisition.
  • Devise and implement strategies focused on client acquisition - actively identify new clients to target and outlining actions required to acquire the client. Work closely and influence others to secure support and investment as required aim for the client acquisition.

Product & Service Development

  • Champion NIQ Liquor offering including CGA Liquor products and service to both internal and external clients; ensuring they are informed about the latest developments.
  • Serve as the primary liaison, representing the voice of Liquor customers in Australia regarding the development of products and services to ensure alignment between client needs and the product development.
  • Conduct thorough analysis to identify opportunities for new product developments within the liquor channel, such as innovative panel surveys or analytics.

 

Qualifications

  • Liquor Expertise: Experience working in the Australian Liquor FMCG market; On and Off Prem ideally.
  • Commercial Leadership: Experience in developing and executing commercial strategy, including pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven track record on achieving sales target and driving revenue growth.
  • Client Management: Extensive experience expanding client portfolio or client acquisition.
  • Strong communication skill: Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate it to actionable insights.
  • Leadership and Influence: Ability to lead, inspire and influence a diverse stakeholder internally and externally, collaborate effectively across functions and diverse steams.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations includes familiarity with navigating complex organizational structures.
  • In depth product knowledge about Consumer Panel is a plus
