Job Description

• Oversee US GAAP, statutory accounting/reporting, and SOX controls for Korea.

• Ensure adherence to US GAAP and NIQ accounting policies, maintaining SOX compliance throughout.

• Collaborate with the tax team on direct and indirect tax matters and ensuring timely assessment, computation and filling of all tax liabilities of the countries.

• Managing & guiding local country controller for all tax assessments and audits initiated by tax authorities

• Ensuring compliance to all local statutory requirements and other governmental filling as needed for compliance and continuation of business in countries

• Maintain close communication with Commercial Finance business partners to align on accounting updates that may affect financial reporting, budgets, and targets.

• Coordinate with regional departments including HR, Legal, Commercial, Treasury, CAS, Tax, IT, etc., to ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.

• Optimize the use of financial systems and finance operations hubs to ensure functionality and effective service delivery.

• Working with finance operations hub as extended team on all transactional accounting matters

• Support & guide the country Controllers during local internal & external audit and compliance review assignments, including any SOX or distributed audits

• Keeping updated on the local country compliance and tax changes, work with the local accounting teams for implementation and adoption of these changes

Qualifications

• Experience with US GAAP accounting and SOX controls

• Experience working across functions to achieve results within your function while also supporting the strategic goals of the company

• Experience leading a team; effective organisational skills to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness of the team, collaborative, inclusive, proactive and accountable

• Strong command of ERP systems and relevant accounting software,

• Strong presence and experience influencing a global cross-cultural team and stakeholders

• Strong collaborative ability to work with finance operations hubs

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to coordinate all core and continuous finance activities between the local environment and the Global and Regional organizational requirements

• CPA, Degree in Tax, Finance or Accounting with Analytical and Strategic mindset.
