About this job

As the Director of Sales within our Retail Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by achieving sales targets, creating and managing a robust sales pipeline, and mastering the art of negotiation to close complex deals. The goal is to expand and grow our Retail Analytics solutions within assigned accounts by possessing the unique attributes of both a hunter (drive) and a farmer (cultivate). Collaborate with Solution Architects and Client Success team members throughout the sales cycle. As an individual contributor, drive deals to successful outcomes across complex sales phases in a timely manner. Generate new product features ideas and bring the voice of the customer back to product management and operations. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed revenue targets. 
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, creating a strong pipeline of potential sales through meticulous market research and lead generation, manage sales pipeline reporting with excellence. 
  • Use a consultative selling approach to identify client business need, qualify, probe, scope and sell in Retail Analytics services 
  • Engage in high-stakes negotiations, showcasing your ability to close complex deals with key decision-makers. 
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations, effectively communicating the value and capabilities of our first-party data solutions to prospective clients. 
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the latest AI technologies and models in retail analytics to provide clients with innovative solutions. 
  • Foster and maintain strategic relationships with clients, understanding their needs and offering customized solutions that address their unique challenges. 
  • Work collaboratively within a matrix environment, leveraging support functions to ensure successful sales cycles and client satisfaction. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of consultative selling experience, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing complex deals. 
  • Strong background in retail analytics, data solutions, and/or AI technology sales. 
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to engage and persuade high-level decision-makers. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions in a clear and compelling manner. 
  • Ability to travel 25-30% as required for client meetings and presentations.
