The NielsenIQ Finance Business Partner team provides a critical leadership role in the Commercial organization.  FBP’s are key members of the regional, functional and global leadership teams, and play a unique role in driving clarity, transparency, action and performance improvement in all areas of value creation. 

As a senior finance leader at NIQ, your accountabilities span both strategic and executional management, and require excellence in collaboration, influencing and team building.  Senior finance leaders role-model critical behaviors on behalf of the whole business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior level finance business partnering support for the NIQ China business. Finance business partnering key accountabilities:
    • Driving performance
      • Lead financial performance management & reporting, ensuring clear, accurate timely reporting (forecasts, actuals, OP, 3YP)
      • Provide fact-based, actionable insights to drive value creation across the entire business
      • Drive a transparent, clear narrative on performance drivers, execution requirements, risks and ops etc.
      • Lead continuous improvement in reporting, forecasting and planning to drive simplification and standardization
      • Partner closely with regional FP&A to drive clarity, simplicity & speed in all financial reporting and planning
      • Leading the development of the periodic forecasts, collaborating with various departments to gather input and ensure alignment with strategic goals
      • Building and maintaining financial models to analyze different scenarios, assess business performance and make informed decisions
      • Conducting in-depth analysis of financial and operational performance, identifying trends, key performance indicators (KPI) and areas for improvement

 

    • Strategy development & execution
      • Partner with commercial leaders to develop a world-class commercial strategy & supporting 3YP
      • Drive execution of the strategy – develop, manage performance, communicate & cascade and proactively course-correct
      • Partner with key stakeholders to embed commercial strategic direction into key processes and ways of working
      • Providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision making, such as investments, cost optimization and resource allocation
    • Controls & Governance
      • Actively partner with other finance teams to create & maintain an environment of strong internal controls, good governance and efficient financial processes

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 
  • Qualified finance professional, with 7+ years of finance leadership experience
  • Highly experienced team leader, comfortable with managing a remote team across China
  • Experienced in managing critical senior level stakeholders across various functions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex problem solving and ‘structure white space’ to bring clarity and transparency
  • Able to handle diverse agenda that spans outside of core finance, in order to be able to provide a ‘total business’ perspective

  • Comfortable in using BI tools and large datasets for financial modeling
  • Professional written/verbal English communication skills
