Job Description

The Order to Invoice Team Lead collaborates closely with the Regional Revenue Assurance, Local Finance, OM team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of Sales orders, contracts management and Post Opportunity Change Request in SAP as well as, Billing & Revenue Recognition, month end closing and related management reporting.   

The role also entails providing an effective service on behalf of NielsenIQ businesses according to legal and statutory requirements, and standard global processes.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partnering with Regional & local Finance Team (Revenue Assurance and Business Finance) and OMS team to ensure timely and accurate order and contracts process management in SAP system. Responsible to manage all the aspects related to Revenue Recognition, Billing, Credit Management and Ownership of relevant Balance sheet accounts. Also, responsible to establish and maintain support and partnership with relevant finance/OMS stakeholders. 
  • Responsible for delivering and ensuring global process and policies adherence within Billing and Revenue team. 
  • Support the Regional & Global clients fund management in conjunction with the Business Finance Team. 
  • Oversee Billing and Revenue functions, ensure KPIs meet key objectives. 
  • Support the continuous improvement of the Billing and Revenue processes by reviewing, analysing, evaluating them, and define respective accountabilities, risks, and controls.
  • Process optimization and technical development (i.e., automation of accounting processes) as well as development of new processes and professional support for the related technical implementation. 
  • Initiate process changes to standardize, improve performance and efficiency related to Billing, Revenue Accounting, and Revenue Controllership.
  • Lead talent development, knowledge transfer of the Billing and Revenue Team Leader through recruitment, training, coaching, project assignment, empowerment. 
  • Lead and support related Finance Transformation Projects.  
  • Support new initiatives with professional accounting knowledge analyzing the team’s performance and business impact. 
  • Point of contact for escalation and change management during audits (CAS, statutory, VAT, etc) based on pre-defined way of work according to global standards impacting SAP contract/POCR process. 
  • Responsible for finding qualified applicants for open positions.  
  • Ultimate responsible for the team and processes at regional level. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in economics or postgraduate studies in finance/accounting 
  • 6 years+ of professional experience within finance (preferably in Account Receivables)  
  • Fluency in English, other regional language preferred 
  • Understanding of the Revenue processes and accounting (Order Management, CRM, Billing, Collection and Cash Application)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, independent decision-making ability, research, and analytical skills, understanding credit risk, and focus on finding solutions 
  • Excellent people management skills (communication, organization, ability to motivate, problem-solving) 
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment  
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and proficiency in working with operating systems (e.g. SAP and MSD) 
  • Highly motivated person, with initiative and the ability to delegate and prioritize tasks 
  • Experience in revenue recognition and analysis 
  • Experience in handling statutory and internal audits
